سجل التاريخ موقفه المشرف برفض رشوة ضخمة قُدرت بـ 14,000 جنيه إسترليني عرضها البريطانيون مقابل السماح لهم بالعبور، مفضلاً السيادة الوطنية والكرامة على المغريات المادية، وهو موقف خلدته السجلات البريطانية قبل العربية.

Sheikh Ahmed Khuz'am was a prominent leader and a central authority in the Al-Kuhra region of Tihama, Yemen. He is historically recognized for his decisive leadership in intercepting and detaining the British diplomatic mission, led by Colonel Harold F. Jacob, in the city of Bajil.

His legacy is defined by his integrity; he famously rejected a massive bribe of £14,000 offered by the British for safe passage through the territory. He prioritized the sovereignty of the Kuhra lands and the independence of his people over material gain—a stance documented in both British colonial records and local historical references.
