Bota family (J1-P58 > L858 > YSC0000076 > FTB633)
Academia: https://independent.academia.edu/No%C3%ABlBotaJD

Our Y-Lineage is Catalan Morisco and possibly Romani as well (Ghaznavid, Balochi-o (J1-L858 carrier), and Pakistani connections supported). G25 Davidski Coordinates, ancient DNA testing, and qpAdm analysis supports an Iranian/Caucasus origin. Many Bota's were identified as Moriscos in the 16th to 17th centuries, especially in Valencia, where our Coat of Arms comes from. A verification of a Bota name listed in Ana Labarta's book, La Onomastica de los Moriscos Valencianos led me to an Inquisitorial prosecution record from Algimia, housed in the Archives of Madrid. There a Bartmo "Boteh" was identified. This linked our name to the Persian surname بته , which may explain our affinity to Zoroastrian Iranian populations. The Bota name also has a link to Pakistan, Tibet, the Cumans, and many other nomadic peoples, indicating a Trans-Iranic heritage.
